A memorial service celebrating the life of Sheryl V. Jenkins, 64, of Columbia will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014 at International Praise Church of God, 5071 Percival Road, Elgin, SC 29045 with Bishop Doyle Roberts officiating. On-line condolences may be sent to www.Thompsonsfuneral.com. Mrs. Jenkins departed this earthly life on Friday, June 27, 2014. She was born in Pomona, California to the late Charles Forste and Wanda Pullman Forste. Mrs. Jenkins was a faithful member, treasurer and cofounder of the Fighting to Win Cancer Support Program of International Praise Church of God. She also retired from the accounting division at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her loving and devoted husband, Richard T. Jenkins; her daughters, Dawn Michelle Werda and Chelie Marie Gillespie and her husband, Shawn Gillespie; three grandchildren, Eric Mujica, Shelby Werda, and Corey Mujica; her sister-in-law, Sherry Vargo and a brother-in-law, Edgar Jenkins; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
