Jerry Ronald Hendrick, 69, of 1501 Ridge Road, Hopkins, SC, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late Edith Inez Bowen and John Hendrick, both of Whiteville, NC. Services will be held at Centennial A.R.P. Church, 1413 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC 29201 at 2pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until the hour of the service at the church on Tuesday. Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He retired from State Wholesale Heating/N.B. Handy. Jerry was a member and deacon at Centennial A.R.P. Church. He loved books, music, and his family. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Reinhilde Hendrick of Hopkins, SC; a son, Joe (Kim) Marsh, and two loving grandchildren, Cynthia and Donald Marsh, both from Melbourne, FL. Also surviving are his brothers, David (Donna) Hendrick of Florence, SC, Harry D. Hendrick of Melbourne, FL and Larry (Karen) of Hartsville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centennial A.R.P. Church, 1413 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC 29201
