Harry H. Andrews

Harry H. Andrews, 75, formerly of Fonda, NY died peacefully in Pittsburgh, PA following a brief illness. The youngest child born on June 19, 1940 in Amsterdam, New York, to Lawrence Andrews and Bertha Mae Young. He was raised and spent most of his life in Fonda and the surrounding areas. He moved to Mars, Pennsylvania in October of 2012. He loved horses. His favorite job was the time he worked, traveled, and trained with the horses in Saratoga Springs and Vernon, NY. He also worked at Kasson & Keller in Fonda, and spent time working in the local leather industry. He was a proud member of the former Fonda Volunteer Fire Department as a fire fighter and fire police. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was always smiling laughing and playing jokes. He spent many hours playing softball, fishing, watching NASCAR , enjoying picnics and spending time with family and friends. He was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed. His loving family includes his daughter Ginger and partner Travis Wingert, daughter Grace and husband Bradley Boel and son Richard and wife Alexis Putman; two brothers, John and James Andrews; his grandchildren Tonya, Tony, Brittanee, Tayla, Kaden and Zarek, and great grandchildren Austin, Gavin, Dylan, Alana, Sophia and Braelynn; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, Florence Banovic, Robert, Lester, Nora Way Pat Martin and Olive Dawes. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sandflats, Fonda.
