Fred L. Hoyt, Jr., 63, of the Country Estates North of Fultonville passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam following a brief illness. He was born in Amsterdam, NY on April 21, 1950, the son of the late Fred L. and Bertha Croote Hoyt, Sr. Fred is a lifetime resident of the area and attended local schools. He is a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Dale from 1972 until 1976. He then enlisted into the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1988. Fred enjoyed country dancing, hunting and loved Nascar. He worked as a press operator for over thirty years at Keymark Corporation in Fonda, NY. His loving family includes his beloved daughter, Michelle Hoyt of Michigan, a brother Alvin T. "Pete" Hoyt, sr. of Fultonville, a sister Pamela Baurle of Fort Hunter, three grandchildren; one great niece along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to a visitation that will take place from 10AM until 12PM on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street Canajoharie, NY 13317.
