Dora Patterson, age 89, passed away on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was born in Gloversville, NY on August 13, 1921 the daughter of the late Sanford and Catherine Fonda Perham. On June 17, 1939, Dora married Robert Patterson Sr. They shared 67 years united in marriage until his passing on July 14, 2006. Dora was a lifelong resident of the Gloversville area and was an avid collector. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as going out on the road to places with her children. Dora is survived by 7 children: Robert M. Patterson Jr. Gail of Gloversville, Ronald "Pete" Patterson Linda of Gloversville, Darla Rowley of Gloversville, Gregory Patterson Billie of Gloversville, Deborah Baird of Gloversville, Eric Patterson Andrea of Johnstown and Michele Iorio Ralph of Gloversville. Additionally, she is survived by two brothers: Sanford "Ike" Perham and Raymond Perham, 29 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Dora was preceded in death by two daughters, Dr. Dawn Marie Patterson and Stephanie DelSignore, a son-in-law, John "Dick" Baird, a grandson Shawn Rowley as well as 4 brothers, Kenneth Perham, Elmer Perham, James "Ed" Perham, Robert "Bear" Perham and 3 sisters, Ruth VanVranken, Shirley Wagner and Eleanor Chase. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday February 4, 2011 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday February 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Fern Dale Cemetery in Johnstown.
