William H. Bazan, 83, of Sanders Road, passed away on Monday morning at his home. Born July 18, 1923, in Amsterdam, New York, he was the son of the late Martin and Agnes Litchko Bazan. He was a life long resident and attended Galway schools. Bill first owned and operated the family farm on Sanders Road in the Town of Perth until 1960; he also owned and operated William Bazan Inc., an excavation business in the Town of Perth since 1957. He was a former member of the Perth Volunteer Fire Department and the Galway Fish & Game Club and a parishioner of St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church in Hagaman. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. On November 25, 1943, he married the former Mary Violet Mack, who died July 27, 1986. Survivors include a son, Robert B. Bazan and his wife Phyllis of Galway; three grandchildren, Robert B. Bazan Jr., Rebecca Bazan and Daniel Bazan of Galway; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue with the Rev. Ronald Matulewicz officiating. Calling hours are private. Burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam. Memorial contributions may be made in Bill?s memory to St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church, 46 North Pawling Street, Hagaman, NY 12086.
