Ferdinand R. Baez, 58, of Market Street, Amsterdam died unexpectedly Saturday at St. Mary?s Hospital. Born on April 4, 1947 in San German, Puerto Rice he was the son of Sandalio and Maria Rodriguez Baez. Mr. Baez was of the Roman Catholic Faith, and was formerly employed by Montco in Amsterdam. Survivors include: five brothers, Luis, Angel, Pablo and Gilbert Olivera, and Benito Baez; three sisters, Carmen, Haydee and Nancy Olivera; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Baez was predeceased by a sister, Raquel Baez. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 until 11. Interment will take place in St. Michael?s Cemetery, Amsterdam
