Harvey W. Moses Sr., 75, of Nedrow, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 with family at his side. He was born in Syracuse, NY to Harvey and Minerva Moses. He was a member of the Onondaga Nation Snipe Clan. Harvey was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Marine Corp. from 1967-1970. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his “Military Brothers”. He enjoyed trucking, joking, laughing and mowing his lawn. Harvey was known for his “big smile”. He is predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Minerva; daughter, Carrie; sister, Karen Sue; brothers, Randy, Karl, Al and Gary. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Moses; 2 sons, Harvey Moses Jr. of Nedrow, Steven (Buffy) Moses of Nedrow; stepson, Jerry (Lorrie) Thomas; two step daughters, Candy (Rick) Thomas and Holly Thomas; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Kathleen (Keith) Thomas and Nanette Moses; and many nieces and nephews. And, his best friend, Bix. Calling Hours will be Monday, January 22, 2024 from 4-7PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, NY 13084. Services will be 11AM, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 1PM at the Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, NY 13215.
