Peter J. Sasso, Sr., 61, of Garnerville, NY, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was born in the Bronx, NY on October 23, 1960. Peter graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1978. Peter married the love of his life, Ellen (Guy) Sasso, on April 25, 1986. He worked in the Carpenter’s Local 11 for 22 years and Helen Hayes Hospital for the last 12 years. He had a passion for his family, the NY Mets, NJ Devils and the LA Rams. Peter is survived by his wife, Ellen; his son PJ, daughters Julie and Tara; his mother, Josephine Sasso and sister, Donna Sasso; his mother-in-law Frances Guy and the Guy and Mimnaugh families. He was predeceased by his father, Peter C. Sasso and father-in-law, John A. Guy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 14, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
