It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shari McCombs, a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her. She departed this world on December 17th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She is leaving behind an enduring legacy of joy, kindness, and an unquenchable zest for life.

Born in May 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Shari possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, effortlessly lifting spirits even in the most challenging of times. Whether she was traveling with her friends and family or rooting for her favorite team, the Washington Redskins, she did so with a love and a spirit that never dimmed. She was the most incredible mother, grandmother and friend.

Shari is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Houser, her son, David Penson, and her three granddaughters, Alexandra Kotlinski, Amy Houser and Ashley Houser.

A Memorial and Celebration of Shari McCombs’s life will be held at 12:30 PM, March 8, 2025, at 9052 W. Watson Lane, Peoria, AZ, where we will gather to honor the remarkable individual who showed us what it means to live with purpose and grace. Please join us to celebrate the life of Shari.  Your attendance will be greatly appreciated.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Arizona Humane Society.
