Eddie Rey Clothier Eddie Rey Clothier, 77, completed his earthly mission on January 27, 2025. Eddie was born in Tucson, Arizona to Ernest A. and Clara Clothier on April 29, 1947. He is survived by Sonja, his loving eternal companion of 53 years. He will also be greatly missed by his children Benjamin Rey Clothier, Claire Joanne Koenig, Brittany Jill Rice, Lindsay Ellen Bryce, and Michael Blake Clothier as well as seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eddie served a 2 ½ year mission in Chile, South America and in numerous callings including Youth teacher, Nursery teacher, Scout leader, a member of the Stake Young Men’s Leadership, Stake Missionary, and a Service Mission, companioned his wife, as Bishops’ Storehouse Managers. He also served the Boy Scouts of America in many capacities but lately as a Climbing Director. He helped plan and execute many adventures for boys in and out of his church callings. He received many honors from the Boy Scouts including the Silver Beaver. In his career, he worked as a bid estimator for an electrician company, a copier technician, owned an Office Products Business, and worked as a technician and representative of a chemical company and was known and respected for his work ethic. His hobbies included having fun with his children and youth going scuba diving, rappelling, hiking, snow skiing, spelunking (caving), woodcutting, camping and exploring nature, and working with his hands. He attended the University of Arizona where he was a member of Sigma Gamma Chi as the secretary. Then graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BA in Business Administration. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints West Stake, 3530 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, Arizona, 85741, Saturday February 1, 2025. Viewing at 12:00 and Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment at South Lawn Cemetery.
