Benny was born on September 5th, 1958 in Morenci, Arizona to parents Bennie Madrid Sanchez and Arcelia (Ophelia) Sandoval Sanchez.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalva, his three children: Reginaldo (Monica) Sanchez, Rene (Taylor) Sanchez, and Iliana (Joshua) Frey, and his five grandchildren: Reginaldo Jr (RJ), Victoria, Knox, Lucy, and Joshua Jr.

Throughout his life, Benny touched the lives of many. He married his high school sweetheart, Rosalva Tellez, in 1980 and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on January 5th, 2025. He was an exceptionally hard worker all his life. He worked as a superintendent in Phoenix and he built much of the current infrastructure (schools, commercial buildings, and many other structures throughout the valley). Before his retirement in 2023, he was a maintenance mechanic at Freeport McMoRan mine in Tucson for 11 years.

Benny had a true passion for working on cars, one of his many accomplishments. He meticulously restored a 1966 Chevy Nova. Benny had a deep love for the outdoors, especially when it came to deer hunting and fishing at East Fork, where he cherished the peaceful moments spent in nature. Music was another of Benny's passions. He could often be found listening to classic rock in his garage while working on one of his many projects. Benny was a loyal fan of the Arizona Cardinals - never missing a game and always ready to cheer them on with unwavering enthusiasm, even when they had a disappointing season. Whether out in nature, enjoying his music, watching football, or being with family, Benny's passion for life was evident in everything he did.

Benny was a believer in Jesus Christ and accepted his Lord and Savior at the young age of 16. He was committed to the Word of God, prayed for those he loved, and asked for guidance every day.

In whatever role, devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin, he brought warmth, love, and joy to everyone he met. He had an incredible ability to offer the best advice, always knowing just what to say to make things better. Humor and intelligence made him a cherished presence in any room, connecting with anyone, no matter their background or circumstances. His family and friends admired him for not only his quick wit and sharp mind, but also for his unmatched talent with cars - a skill he was proud of. Whether he was under the hood of a car or sharing a laugh with loved ones, he had a way of making everyone feel important and loved.

He will be so missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
