Cristi Marla Carr (Rasmussen), age 66, passed away on April 9, 2025, in Loveland, Colorado. Born on April 25, 1958, in Nevada, Iowa. She moved to Colorado to not only pursue a job opportunity, but also for the natural beauty of the state, and her love for the mountains. Cristi lived a life filled with love for family, creativity, and joyful pursuits. Cristi was the beloved daughter of Carl and Mary Lou Rasmussen and grew up with her siblings in Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Monte Rasmussen and Mark Rasmussen. Her memory lives on through her sister Cindi Rasmussen and brother Mike Rasmussen. Cristi's greatest pride and joy came from her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Brenda Bessey (Galen) and son Joshua Carr. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kendra O'Malley (Devin), Christian Lamfers (Gretchen), and Sean Bessey (Baylee). Cristi also cherished her eight greatgrandchildren: Cayden, Charlotte, Kinsley, Carson, Samantha, Mikaela, Connor, and Colson-who brought immense happiness to her life. A woman of many passions, Cristi found joy in the outdoors and creative expression. She loved camping under the stars, playing softball with friends and family, swimming during warm summer days, and capturing memories through scrapbooking. Her hands were often busy quilting beautiful pieces that reflected both warmth and artistry. A devoted reader and movie enthusiast, she enjoyed quiet moments immersed in stories both on the page and screen. Cristi shared a special bond with her loyal dog Pebbles, who was more than a pet-Pebbles was a constant companion whose presence brought comfort and companionship throughout the years. Above all else, Cristi's heart belonged to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their laughter lit up her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
