Cheryl Gleason, age 69, of Auburndale, FL, passed away peacefully on May 15th, 2025, surrounded by her family.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother… who loved to travel, leaving almost nothing unchecked on her bucket list, including trips to the far corners of the US, Europe several times, and getting to see the Rose Bowl Parade. She loved to celebrate every milestone for everyone in her life; often being the first to offer help setup or decorate, or pre-cooking as much food as she could get done. She always made time to connect with her grandkids on something uniquely their own, that only the two of them shared.

Cheryl was born to Drew and Marjorie (Catlin) Hurley on September 11 1955, in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Clarenceville High School in 1973.  She married Jesse Gleason on July 11th 1977. She was a proud mother of three, and a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

She is survived by her loving husband Jesse; children Michele, Jason (LaDonna), Jeremy (Sarah); grandchildren Tyler, Andrew, Lucas, Lincoln; father Drew; sisters Margaret (Kenny) Sliwinski and Adela (David) Leark; brothers Drew (Joann) and Jerry (Lorie); and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly but rejoice in the knowledge that she is now at peace. She was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie Hurley; father-in-law Troy Gleason; brother-in-law Joe Gleason.

Friends and family are invited to gather to honor her memory and the legacy she leaves behind on Friday, May 23, 2025  at 11:00am at Berkley Chapel 581 Berkley Rd, Auburndale, FL 33823. Cheryl asked that everyone attending wear bright colors.
