In Loving Memory
Loading
Sadly, on 4/9/25 Devin E. Podeszwa age 42, left this earth way too soon. He had been very sick, and we were not fully aware of his failing health condition. He was a loving son, husband, & stepfather. He had a lust for life like no others do. He had been an avid reader, volunteered for the Republic Party, wrote political blogs, loved music and cooking, he also loved long walks especially on the beach and camping with Janette. He loved his pets Zoe, Jean Luc, Moxy & Simon. He had owned Coffee Expresso with his then future wife Janette in 04-07, had been manager at PSI Engineering, and salesman for Wheelers Carpet Salinas. He loved to laugh and made us laugh so much. He had a contagious smile. He also lovingly cared for his father-in-law George. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Podeszwa and others. He left behind his Mom Linda Podeszwa, brother Greg Shatraw, Aunt Judy Wright, Aunt Toni Fox, and Aunt Terry Parkinson, any many other family and friends. He will be greatly missed especially by myself, his former wife (he always said I was his wife) and best friend, Janette Podeszwa. Love you Devin, you will never be forgotten ❤️ God be with you. A celebration of life will be scheduled later this year.

We Entrusted Devin Podeszwa's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
