Dolly Gay Phillips-Orr was born on November 12,1946 in Norton, Virginia to parents Henry Thurston Phillips and Agnes Dingus Phillips-Church.
Dolly past away on February 2, 2025 at home in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Dolly is survived by her husband Steve Orr of Myrtle Creek Oregon, son Michael Orr of Kodiak Alaska, and daughter Kathey Dennis of Roseburg Oregon. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
With her warmth, generosity, and kindness, Dolly touched the lives of many throughout her years. Whether it was friends or family, Dolly was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Dolly greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years, where she was able to support her community while building lifelong friendships. She was especially fond of family gatherings and holiday celebrations.
Dolly enjoyed gathering around the table with her family to play a few rounds of cards. Sharing jokes and laughter over holiday dinners and tasty desserts. Dolly also enjoyed making quilts and homemade gifts for her family.
She cared greatly for her family and was deeply loved. Dolly will be missed by many. Dolly was proceeded in death by her father Henry Thurston Phillips and her mother Agnes Dingus Phillips-Church.
A celebration of life for Dolly will be held Saturday July 12 at the Myrtle Creek Community Center starting at 10:00 AM. Located at 425 N.W. Second Avenue, Myrtle Creek, Oregon 97457.
