Eric (Ric) Ward Morrison, 80, March 7, 1945 - June 13, 2025, of Lexington, South Carolina passed peacefully at home on Friday.
Born in Toledo, OH to Rex Ward and Dorothy June Morrison. Growing up in Michigan, he was active in 4-H, church and his high school band. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved writing poetry. Ric worked for General Motors in Michigan for over 33 years. He was a member of Mt. Horeb church and had recently joined a very wonderful and caring small group there with his wife.
Ric was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cynthia Ahrendt. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia (Tricia) Morrison and three children - sons Brett Morrison and Chad Morrison, and daughter, Chelsea D'Alessandro (Chris), grandchildren Sara & Gabriel Morrison and Bella & Becker D'Alessandro, as well as his brother, Jeffrey Morrison (Mary Ann), sister-in-laws Beth (Tom) Hennessey and Pam Stiverson, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and wonderful close family friends, including Kathy Henderson and her children Taylor, Micah and Brock.
Visitation will be held from 9-10am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Mt. Horeb church (1205 Old Cherokee Rd., Lexington, SC), followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Mt. Horeb Church Missions Ministry.
Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington SC is responsible for care and arrangements. Interment will be in Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree St., West Columbia, SC.
