ENTZEL (nee Schmidt), Florence (Flo) Theresia Schmidt age 86 passed away peacefully June 10th 2025. Born in Napoleon, ND May 24, 1939, to Magdalena Feist and John Schmidt. Flo was preceded in death by her parents, son Clinton James, daughter Margaret Anne, brothers Tony, Jim, John & Don, sisters Sally, Phyllis and Ginny. She is survived by her brother Leo (Kathy Ward) Schmidt, sisters in law (Jim) Naemi Walz Schmidt & (John) Rita Moen Schmidt, (Don) Brenda Gabler, daughters Cynthia, son in law Dan Hamann, Tracy and Nicola; grandchildren Clinton Andrew (Stephanie Wessel), Veronica Surko (Jack Garcia) and Megan Hamann, Great Granddaughters Audrey Ellen (mother Veronica Surko, father Jack Garcia), Gwendolyn Mae (mother Stephanie Wessel, father Clint Entzel), many nieces, nephews & friends.
Flo was a devout Catholic and lived her faith through volunteering at various soup kitchens, Little Sisters of the Poor, her church St. Albert the Great & other organizations.
Flo was a Pre-School teacher and an In-Home Child Care Provider most of her adult life and was one of the first to be licensed in Hennepin County. Many lasting friendships came of her love of children.
Years of lessons taught her how to play the pipe organ with 20 years of ballroom & round dancing being another favorite activity.
Mass will be on Saturday August 2nd, 2025, at St. Albert the Great Church 2836 33rd Av. S, Minneapolis, MN 55406 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour before service.
