It is with heavy hearts that the family of Timothy Edward Howard, Sr. announces his passing on July 8, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 65. Born June 7, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio, Tim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Tim is remembered for his goofy sense of humor, his unwavering support for his family, and his deep affection for his cherished puppy, Ruby.

A proud graduate with an associate’s degree in hospitality management, Tim dedicated his career to serving others. He retired from the Department of the Army, where he worked as a Night Auditor at the Shades of Green Military Hotel. His commitment to excellence and his generous spirit were evident in all he did and is fondly remembered by his co-workers.

Tim was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Shirley (Olden). He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his children, Jessica Yates and son-in-law Zachary, along with Timothy Howard Jr., fiancée Jesse, and CJ Howard, fiancée Voya and their son Aden. Tim shared a close bond with his sibling, Lynne, and her husband Alex Ray. He is also survived by his youngest sister and her husband Jill and Steve Klimack. Tim held a special place in the heart for his nieces and nephews: Brandon Blake, Justin Ray, Candice Ray (fiancé Shaun Avnet), Cody Ray, Amanda Ptacek (fiancé Sam Martinez), Kevin (Kayla) Klimack, and Kaemyn Klimack.

An avid fan of Elvis, Tim found joy in sharing his passion for the King of Rock and Roll with everyone. His love for music added a soundtrack to his life, filled with memories that will be cherished by his family.

As we remember Tim, let us celebrate a life filled with love, and an unwavering commitment to family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing and may he rest in peace.
