James T. (Jimmy) Saylors, Jr., 72, Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025 at NHC in Charleston SC. Born on September 24, 1952 in Anderson SC, Jimmy graduated TL Hanna High (’70) and attended Clemson University before enlisting in the Navy for 8 years. He then attended Duke Power’s Nuclear Energy Program in Charlotte NC before working at and retiring from the Oconee Nuclear Station.

Jimmy’s cheerful nature, kindheartedness, love of people and willingness to help anyone will never be forgotten. His contagious laughter, smile and jovial presence will be sorely missed. Jimmy’s two favorite places were Lake Hartwell and Charleston, and his two favorite passions were sailing/boating and snow skiing.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Crow Saylors and his father, Jim T. Saylors and stepmother Jean Joyce Saylors.

Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law Greg and Diane Saylors, Mt Pleasant, S.C., and Cameron Saylors (Julie Harris), Anderson, S.C.; nieces and nephews, Dr. Gene and Dr. Julia Saylors, Courtney and Dr. Nic Noblet, Dr. Bradley and Katie Saylors, Savannah Saylors, Sydney Saylors and a host of cousins, grand nieces and nephews and one uncle, Harold K. Grant of Anderson SC.

A Memorial Service will be held later at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston, Georgia.
