Virginia Sue Montgomery, age 88, of Jackson, CA, passed away July 15, 2025, in Jackson, CA. She was born on December 31, 1936, in Edmund, Oklahoma, to the late Lawrence and Nellie (Kinchaloe) Gates.
Virginia served as a team leader in the fast-food industry for 20 years. During that time, she earned the affectionate title of "the grandma of Burger King." Her sweet and accommodating nature was well-known, and she always wore a smile while keeping an eye out for the kids.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Richard (Mari) Montgomery of Pensacola, FL, Calvin Jr. "Butch" (Kim) Montgomery of Pine Grove, Russ (Elizabeth) Montgomery of Jackson; daughter, Diane (John) Baszler of Jackson; grandchildren, Vincent (Stephanie), Vanessa (Gilberto), Russell Jr. (Lauren), Heidi (Ross), Brian, Courtney, and Tyler; great grandchildren, Elise, Ben, Julia, Tyler, Merideth, and Hailey.
Interment took place at Jenny Lind Cemetery in Valley Springs, CA.
