Katherine I. "Kitty" Young

Katherine “Kitty” I. Young, age 93, of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday July 19, 2025, at London Lodge.

Kitty was born on January 18, 1932, in La Porte IN. The daughter of Morris and Ethel (Ralph) White. On April 11, 1953, Kitty married Teodore R Young in Fort Atkinson WI. Ted’s 20 years of service in the Navy took Kitty to Texas, California and back home to Wisconsin. Together they had three children, Terry, Susan, and Valerie.

Upon graduating from Fort Atkinson High School, she proudly worked as a telephone operator. Kitty often talked about a call she received for Ricky Nelson. After raising their three children, Kitty returned to work at Nasco Intl working for 26 years until her retirement in 1998. Kitty loved to share stories about her grandfather, Benjamin Ralph, who owned the land in Fort Atkinson, that is now known as Ralph Park. She had a special fondness for Snoop Dogg. Kitty enjoyed many adventures traveling with her children, grandchildren and siblings.

Kitty will be deeply missed by her children: Terry (Esther) Young, Susan (Bob) Czupowski, Valerie (Dave Strait) Schultz. Grandchildren: Brent (Lisa Klusken) Czupowski, Nelle (Matt) Kempfer, Ryan (Jessica) Czupowski, Kayla Czupowski, Harry (Chelsea) Young, Colton Schultz, Zackary (Jocelyn Anderson) Schultz, Jessica (Paul) Dowd, Becky (James) Gjerseth. Great grandchildren: Westley, Theodore, Nathan, Ayden, Alivia, Hayley, Ella, Quinten, Bailey, Carsten, Kyle, Natalie. Great-great grandchild: Willow. Kittys sister Shirley Chapman of Delavan, sister-in-law Betty Chapman of Waupaca and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Morris and Ethel White; her husband Teodore; her siblings Mary Margaret, Robert, Leroy, Marjorie Niles, Marguerite Tuisl, and Harold White.

A special thank you to Kittys extended family at London Lodge, Meg, Casey, Alyssa, Jessica, Hillary, Andrea, Mary, Denise, Sherry, Jodie, Sandy, Brie, Johna, Asia, Sarah, Chris, Crystal, Alisha, Kim, Crystal, Jacob, Mike, Linnea at Nagel Health, Gretchen, Alisha, and Steve from Rainbow, for all the care, happiness and laughs you gave to Mom. The memories that were made with Mom will be cherished by our family. She loved being part of your family.

A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
