Schyler Lane Dush
1995 – 2025
With profound sorrow and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Schyler Lane Dush, age 30, on July 11, 2025.
Born with a natural talent, a brilliant mind, and a heart full of compassion, Schyler was a fantastic left-handed pitcher from a young age—graceful, powerful, and passionate on the mound. His love for the game was matched only by his deep love for his family and his unwavering loyalty to those who needed him most. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to lift up the underdog, never turning away someone in need.
School came easily to Schyler; he was effortlessly book-smart and curious about the world around him. But beyond academics and athletics, what defined him most was his big, kind heart.
Schyler is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his Mother Michelle, Father Rick, and his Brothers Jeremiah and Kannon. He also leaves behind his Grandma Jacque, Papa John and Grandma Julie, Nana Patty, Aunt Danielle (Ben), Tía Bianca (Bryan), and cousins Chase (Shelly), Reece (Abbi), Ricky, Ashton, Jake, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. His family was his anchor—he loved them fiercely, and they loved him right back with everything they had.
Schyler fought bravely through the darkness of mental health and addiction, a struggle that took him far from us even before it ultimately took his life. Our hearts are broken twice: once for the battle he endured, and again for the loss we now carry. Yet through it all, we never stopped loving him, never stopped hoping, never stopped praying.
While the pain of losing Schyler is immeasurable, we are comforted by the thought that he is finally at peace. Free from the weight he bore for so long, we hold close the memories of his laughter, his talent, his tenderness, and the light he brought into our lives.
A private memorial will be held by his family, who ask that in honor of Schyler’s legacy, we continue to show kindness, fight stigma, and reach out to those still struggling—just as he always did.
Rest easy, Schyler. You are so deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
