Robert “Bobby” Charles Neil, age 67, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. Bobby was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend whose generous heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Born in Columbus, Ohio on October 14, 1957, Bobby grew up in Warner Robins, where he developed a deep love for sports, particularly baseball. Gifted with natural athletic talent, he was an exceptional player in his youth and was even scouted by several major league teams—a testament to his dedication and skill. He was a huge fan of Georgia sports including the Bulldogs, the Falcons and the Braves.

Bobby was known for his big heart and selfless nature. He had a special gift for making people laugh and always went out of his way to lift others up. Whether it was offering the shirt off his back or reminding someone they were loved, Bobby led with compassion and generosity in all he did.

He worked for many years as a delivery driver for Flowers Baking Company, where his work ethic and friendly spirit were deeply appreciated by coworkers and customers alike. His connections at Flowers resulted in life-long friendships, including his best friend, Brent Dockery.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Ruthann Neil and Robert Neil, his brother, Stephen Neil, and his great-nephew, Evan Barnhart.

Bobby is survived by his loving siblings: Bill Neil (Scottie) of Griffin, GA; Paula Barnhart of Warner Robins, GA; Ruth Ann Neil of Warner Robins, GA; and Brian Neil (Tyrene) of Bonaire, GA.

He did not have any children, but he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. He never failed to have a bag of candy or toys to give away when they came to visit. He was adored by Ben Neil (Lacey), Derek Neil, Jason Barnhart (Britt), Jeremy Barnhart, Teryn Barill (Ryan), and Bradley Neil. He also leaves behind many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cherished friends who will miss him dearly.

Bobby’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. If you would like to make a donation in his honor, the family requests that you send those to Happy Hour Service Center in Warner Robins.
