In Loving Memory

Teresita Kubulan Batala was born on April 6, 1932 in the Mountain Province, Philippines. Her husband, Michael Batala, preceded her in death in 2015. Tessie passed away on July 26, 2025 at her home in Salinas, California with all her immediate family at her bedside. She was 93 years old.

She was a primary school teacher in Bontoc Province before traveling to Fort Bragg, North Carolina on November 1963, to join her husband. The family eventually moved and settled in Salinas, California.

She is survived by her daughter Elbina Batala Rafizadeh, son, Michael Batala Jr, and grandson, Omeed Rafizadeh.

Her Viewing will be on Monday, August 11th at Healey Mortuary from 1-8 pm with a Rosary Prayer Service at 6pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Madonna del Sasso on Tuesday, August 12th at 1pm followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Prunedale.
