Charlie “Randell” Enix, 84, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Nickelsville, VA to the late Charlie and Lois Enix. Randell served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a Kingsport City Police Officer for several years. He owned and operated Randell’s Upholstery with his wife for over 30 years. Randell was a Mason and belonged to the Catlett Lodge #35 in Gate City. He was a loving husband, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Smith; one niece; one great niece; one great nephew. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Hazel Joan Enix; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. A military graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Addington Frame Cemetery in Nickelsville with honors conducted by the Virginia National Guard. Pastor Harmon Willis and Pastor David Gillenwater will officiate the service. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of the VA Medical Center as well as his family and friends for their loving care.
