"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss

Lois Marie Lane, age 75 of Fort Balckmore, VA, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 17, 2025.  Lois was born on September 23, 1949, in McDowell County, WV to Odell and Clara Graham.  On January 7, 1987, Lois married her best friend, Howard Lane, and after seven years of a wonderful marriage, he preceded her in death in 1994.

Lois was FULL OF LIFE!  She loved her family, and she was known as the family jokester.  Her fun and outgoing personality will truly be missed by all those who knew her.

The family will see family and friends at the home of Lois' daughter, Michelle Hunley.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Howard Lane; grandson, “her doodlebug” Tyler Tipton; four brothers, Tommy Graham, Jesse Graham, Donnie Graham, and William Graham; and one sister, Audrey Murphy.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Michelle Hunley and husband, James, and Loretta Maness; two granddaughters, Emmalee Hunley, and Brittany Hunley; two sisters, Linda Henry, and Dorothy Lane; two brothers, Billy Graham and wife, Susie, and Bruce Graham; special friends, Nancy and Peggy; and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the ICU nurses at Johnson City Medical Center.

The family will receive friends at Scott County Funeral Home Weber City on Wednesday, August 20, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.   A funeral service will follow with Pastor George Gibson and Rev. Jimmy Darnell officiating.  Special music will be provided by Timmy and April Baldwin.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Dingus Cemetery at 11:00 am.  Lois’ family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am.
