Michael David Axelrod passed away peacefully at the age of 75, on July 16th 2025 in his home in Needles, CA. Mike was born in Astoria, New York in 1949. He attended Bryant Highschool before earning his B.S in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Mike enlisted in the New York Army Reserve National Guard in 1971 and was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant in 1977. Mike moved his family to CA in 1981, where he had a successful career as a Construction Superintendent. Mike retired to Needles, CA in 2010. During his life, Mike was an avid coin collector, enjoyed golf and boating and was a proud member of the NRA. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Margaret Axelrod. He is survived by his Sons: Damon Axelrod (Kristy), Scott Axelrod (Sarah), Sisters: Sherri Dockstader, Susan Chiofalo (Vincent), Brother: Steve Axelrod (Kim), Girlfriend: Linda Phipps and many nieces and nephews. Mike was a loving proud father and all-around great man. He will be missed dearly by all. A Celebration of Life will take place in Riverside, CA on October 11, 2025 from 2pm-6pm.
