Raymond "Ray" Jay Leak
April 15th, 1932 - September 5th, 2025
Raymond Jay (Ray) Leak, 93, of Jamesville, NY passed away peacefully at home on Friday evening, September 5, 2025. He was born on April 15, 1932, the son of the late Raymond Earl and Margaret Williams Leak. He was president of his graduating class at Smith Technical High School in 1951. He joined the Air Force right out of high school where he served as an instructor for his 4-year tour at Sampson Air Force Base. He returned to his job with Commander Foods and remained with the company for 51 years, through their transition to P&C Foods, retiring as price coordinator. Ray was an avid fan of both the NY Yankees baseball team and the NY Giants football team. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard and on home improvements as well as various woodworking projects.
He is survived by his children Christopher, Matthew (Beth Fritz), Margaret Dobrovech, Catherine (Mike) Borella, Andrew, William (Jessica Boyan), Raymond (Mackenzie Boyan) and Kristina (Gary) Swem and many grandchildren. He is also survived by his half-sister Barbara Cordes and his ex-wife, Marilyn Leak, the mother of his children.
Calling hours will be 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday September 11, 2025, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home in Lafayette.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
