Paul Eugene Isley, 88, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Kingsport to the late James and Rosie Isley. Paul was a painter by trade and enjoyed his work for over 60 years. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed visiting many churches in the area. Paul was a member of Copper Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgie Isley; second wife, Freda Isley; brother, James Isley; sister, Liz Galloway.
Survivors include his son, Gene Isley Noe and fiancé Jackie Killion; step-sons, Brian Hixson and wife Kim, and Perry Sanders; step-daughters, Beth Blair and Sherry Oaks; brothers, Charles Isley and wife Sue Davis and Wayne Isley and wife Patricia; sister, Pearl Swanner and husband Jessie; several grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, M.J. and Betty Mann; along with a host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Clayton Williams, Bro. Jessie Swanner, and Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating. Music will be provided by Collene Davis and Nathan Salyer.
A graveside service will follow at the Roller Family Cemetery in Kingsport with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Isley family.
