Roger D Reedy
January 21st, 1945 - September 10th, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Reedy on September 10, 2025, at his home in Florida, surrounded by his loving wife, son, and brother. Roger was born on January 21, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, and lived a life filled with love, service, and devotion to family. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and laughter to all who knew him.
Roger was raised between Clayton and Wellston, Ohio, by his mother, Mary Wolfe, and stepfather, Ray Wolfe. He grew up in a large and loving family as one of ten siblings and, in recent years, was blessed to be reunited with three siblings whose connection was only recently discovered. Family was always at the center of Roger’s life, and he treasured the bonds he shared with each of them.
He proudly served in the United States Army from December 29, 1965, until his discharge on October 1, 1967. During his service in the Vietnam War, his bravery and dedication earned him the Bronze Star Medal. He carried the values of integrity, respect, and honor throughout his life, both in service and beyond.
Beyond his military service, Roger was a hardworking and dedicated businessman. As CEO of Bimac Corporation in Dayton, Ohio, he led with vision, determination, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on his employees and community.
Roger shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Darlene Reedy. Their life together was built on love, faith, and partnership, and their bond remains a testament to lasting devotion. Together they raised one son, Clay Reedy (age 45), who was a constant source of pride and joy for Roger. Clay is married to Chris Fisher, whom Roger cherished as a beloved son-in-law.
In addition to his devotion to family and work, Roger found peace and joy at his second home on Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, where he spent countless days making memories with those he loved.
A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Hope Presbyterian Church, 2110 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33884. Following the service, family and friends are invited to share a meal and fellowship at the church.
Roger will be laid to rest at Bushnell Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM with full military honors, a tribute to his dedicated service to our nation.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Darlene, his son Clay, his son-in-law Chris, his siblings, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Roger’s memory.
