Adelaida Limon Tangonan, 102 years old, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 with her family by her side in Salinas, California.
Born on November 5, 1922, in the Philippines, Adelaida was a devoted wife to Roberto and a loving mother to her 3 children. She was known for her warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and her passion for gardening and cooking. She took immense pleasure in seeing others enjoy her delicious meals. She loved watching sports, especially the San Francisco Giants.
Adelaida found great joy in her family, always bringing laughter to those in her presence. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who remember her for her generous spirit.
She is survived by her son Robert (Debbie), daughter Margaret (Ivan); grandchildren Ivan, Isaac, Kyle (Amanda), and Tyler (Hilary); and great-grandchildren Gianna, Luke, Elliot, and Oscar. She was preceded in death by her husband Roberto and son Joel.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the dedicated nurses and staff at Katherine Healthcare for their compassionate care of Adelaida. A special thank you also goes to the staff at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, third floor tower, for their support and kindness during her final moments.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2025 from 1:00-5:00 PM with a rosary at 4:00 PM at Healey Mortuary 405 N Sanborn Rd Salinas. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday September 25, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church 22 Stone St Salinas followed by a Committal Service at Garden of Memories 850 Abbott St Salinas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Association, or charity of your choice in her memory.
