Jacqueline Yvette Schelm

Jacqueline Yvette Schelm, 92, of Port Charlotte, FL died Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Advent Health in Port Charlotte surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 27, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Leonidas Greenville and Lula Delores (nee Sadler) Fouts and moved to Port Charlotte 65 years ago from Indianapolis, IN.  Jacque was a faithful servant of Our Lord and attended Punta Gorda Alliance Church.  It was her mission in life to tell everyone she came in contact with about Jesus and what a Wonderful Savior He was in hopes they would give their life to Christ.  Jacque was a prayer warrior and would pray unceasingly for everyone.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Jacque is survived by her children, daughters, Deborah (Costa) Vacopoulos of Port Charlotte, Jennifer (Joseph) Mazzoni of Port Charlotte, Amanda (Kevin) Nicol of Fort Ogden, Robin (Michael) Palumbo of North Port, Beth Ann (George) Laster of Port Charlotte, and Amy Jo (David) Kyre of Fort Ogden, sons, Paul R. (Lori) Schelm of Fort Ogden and Mark (Maury) Schelm of Port Charlotte, daughter-in-law, Sandie Schelm of North Port, sisters, Janet May of Indianapolis, IN and Judy Whitaker of Martinsville, IN, 25 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Schelm Jr., infant daughter, Kathy Lynne Schelm, son, Richard A. Schelm, son-in-law, Ettore Arnone, granddaughter, Rebecca Perdue, and brother, John Fouts.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home in Punta Gorda.  A going Home celebration will be held at 12:00PM at the Paul Schelm Chapel at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow the celebration at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
