John Thomas Tresch went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2025. Born December 26, 1947, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky; John was one of four children to Nancy (Cayce) Tresch and Thomas Tresch. He graduated from Christian County High School in May of 1966. After high school, John joined the Air Force, where he was stationed in California, Pearl Harbor, Japan and eventually discharged out of Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado. Upon discharge from the military, he worked as a truck driver at Mountain Bell in Northglenn until he retired. John loved the mountains of Colorado and often went fishing, camping and off-road with his jeep. He would later pass that love of fishing and being in the mountains to his children and grandchildren. Always a jokester, he was quick with a smile and a laugh. He loved playing card games with his wife and friends, to which he often lost. His children and grandchildren fondly remember a dad/grandpa that would build things for them, made the best pancakes but the worst inedible eggs that no one would dare to eat, or take them fishing every chance they could. John is survived by his wife Dora, sisters Ann (Bobby) Ashby, Brenda Tresch, brother Jerry Tresch, son David (Linda) Buck, daughter Christy (Kevin) Haptonstall, five grandchildren, Marissa (Taylor), Valde, Bella (Eddie), Gabby (Zach), JT and a great grandson Callum, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and son John “Tony” Buck. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in honor of John to Alzheimer’s Association.
