It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott (Scotty) Alan Bodendorfer of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, who left us on September 3, 2025, at the age of 52. Born and raised in Wheat Ridge, Scotty stayed deeply connected to his roots, surrounded by the people and places he loved most.
Known for his quick wit, sharp mind, and irresistible charm, Scotty had a personality that lit up every room. He had a soft spot for the elderly and animals, showing kindness and compassion wherever he went. He embraced those he loved with fierce protectiveness. His sense of humor, vibrant personality, and genuine kindness made him unforgettable to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A master sprinkler system technician and a true jack of all trades, Scotty took pride in his work and was always ready to lend a hand — or crack a joke — no matter the task. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: cooking up a delicious meal, grilling for friends and family, and sharing conversation and laughter every chance he had.
Scotty was always a devoted protector of his family, carrying a heart full of love and pride. He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate, April Bodendorfer; his stepchildren, Ethan Jandreau and his wife, Carla, and Miette Jandreau and his children, Jordan Macomber and his wife, also named Jordan, along with their son Harrison, as well as Kelsi Macomber and her daughter Ayla, and by Jordan and Kelsi’s brother, Nicolas.
Scotty is survived by his loving parents, Debby and Scott Bodendorfer, who are deeply heartbroken by the loss of their eldest child; his sister, Nikky Vullo, who grieves the passing of her cherished and protective brother; his brother-in-law, Lou Vullo; and their children, Marcello and Gabriella. In addition, he is survived by his half-sister Gina and his in-laws, John and Heidi Wells. Scotty also leaves behind numerous cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, loved ones, many dear friends, and loyal customers who will feel his loss deeply.
Scotty lived life to the fullest and was fearless in everything he represented and believed in. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the times we shared, and the memories made will be carried in our hearts forever.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life honoring Scotty on September 30th, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
