HENRY A. "Judge" FISCHER, JR., 89 of the Town of Koshkonong passed away at Rainbow Community Care Inpatient Center on Monday, September 1 5, 2025.

Henry was born on September 9, 1936, in Jefferson to Henry J. and Agnes (Bergholz) Fischer. He graduated from Jefferson High School class of 1954. Henry attended Wisconsin State College in Whitewater, and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He served in the United States Army from 1961 and completed his service with the Army National Guard in 1964.

Henry married Mary Beyer on May 11th, 1963, at St. Lawrence Church in Jefferson.

He was employed with the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Jefferson from 1957 to 1969, People's State Bank in Janesville from 1969 to 1977, and returned to the Farmers & Merchants Bank from 1977 to 1999. Henry served as Bank President from 1979 to 1999.

Henry served his community on various boards; Jefferson Board of Education as President, Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital board, director and director emeritus of Premier Bank in Fort Atkinson, and Jefferson Fire & Police Commission and as President of the Jefferson Rotary Club from 1997-1998.

Henry is survived by his son, Michael Fischer of the Town of Koshkonong, and sisters-in law, Dorothy Fischer of Janesville and Beverly Lukas of Jefferson.

He is preceded by his parents, wife, Mary; daughter, Marcie Fischer; brother, Malcolm Fischer and sister, Kristine Fischer Sassow.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 1 1 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 404 Roosevelt Street, Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Burial will take place at a later date in Union Cemetery, Jefferson.
