Steven Michael Kinkead, 78, died September 19 at Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimons in Aurora, Colorado. Steven was bom December 23, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, lowa, the son of Ralph and Bertha Kinkead.

 

He graduated from Springville High School in 1964. Steven was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and served from 1968-1971 as Crew Chief on assault helicopters.

 

He earned The Army Commendation Medal in 1969. Steven graduated from Northeast Missouri State with honors and in 1993 earned his MBA from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, lowa.

 

After graduating, Steven and wife Debbie, returned to Grand Junction, Colorado where Steven was active in the business community. Steven was preceded in death by his wife Debbie, his parents Ralph and Bertha Kinkead, Kay Kinkead and sisters Karen Cameron and Diane Harms.

 

Steven is survived by his brother Jerry Kinkead, sister Sandra Fleer, brother Mark Kinkead, and sister Kristi Peterson.

 

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Nancy Meyer and to the caregivers at Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimons.

 

Steven's remains will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
