Erna May Trivanovich, 91, of Scottsdale, AZ, died September 21.
She was born to James and Hedwig Yeck in Conneaut, Ohio on November 13, 1933. Erna grew up in Cleveland where she married Nadalin Trivanovich in 1952. They raised four children in Brunswick, OH until moving in 1975 to Scottsdale, AZ, where Erna became active in the Franciscan Renewal Center as a Eucharistic Minister and a Cursillo participant, among other ministries. Though Erna loved the Casa, her favorite role was that of parent and grandparent; she was always ready for a game of marbles, war, twenty-one, or dice. Erna made friends quickly and she kept the coffee and pastries ready for visitors.
Erna will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Debra (Richard) Hoffman, Nadalin (Elisa) Trivanovich, April (Joseph) West, and Jennie (James) Neighbors; and her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one child, Joseph Peter Trivanovich; her parents; and her siblings, Gordon, Betty, and Robert.
