Peggy Theresa Finegan passed away on September 22, 2025, in Jackson, CA, at the age of 96. She was born on October 15, 1928, in New York, New York, to the late John and Margaret (Sullivan) Geraghty.
Peggy has a deep and unwavering love for three distinct passions in her life: her faith in God, her steadfast support for the Raiders, and the thrill of gambling. Every Sunday, you can find her in her favorite jersey, cheering passionately for the Raiders, feeling a sense of community and excitement at each game. In addition to her love for football, Peggy also enjoys the thrill of gambling, whether it's placing bets on her favorite teams or trying her luck at the local casino. Through it all, her faith in God remains the foundation of her life, guiding her through both the highs and lows of her passions. Each of these interests brings her joy and fulfillment, creating a unique blend that defines who she is.
She is survived by her children, William Finegan, Paul (Kathy) Finegan, and Barbara (David) Headley, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. As well as her nieces, Maureen and Gayle. She is preceded by her sister, Irene.
A celebration of life will be held on October 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm at her favorite restaurant in town, Strings Italian Café in Jackson.
