Rita Roxanna Baker, 46, of Duffield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at her home.
She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee to Donetta Blevins and Wilburn Baker. Roxanna enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a devoted Christian. Roxanna was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilburn Baker; maternal grandparents, Dean and Lena Chesser.
Survivors include her son, Zachary Bowen; daughter, Emily Bowen; mother, Donetta Blevins and husband Ronnie; sister, Robin Dunn; brother, Travis Baker; nephew, Matthew Baker and wife Cassie; special friend, Lisa Bowen; along with a host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Robert Slone and Pastor Bill LaFollette officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Chesser family cemetery in Duffield with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 pm.
