It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Inge Marianne Green, age 89, who passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.   Known for her joy, kindness, wisdom and spirit, Inge will be missed by all who knew her.

Born on August 11, 1936, in Berlin Germany, Inge was the daughter of Wilhelm and Emma Hanack. She grew up in the city of Berlin during World War II, excelled in school, played soccer, handball and hockey, and became a survivor. From an early age, Inge showed a knack for storytelling!   Many of you probably remember the stories of her childhood memories that she often shared with family and friends. Inge always had a special quality of making others feel accepted and heard.

In 1963, Inge married the love of her life, Earl H. Green Jr., left Germany and moved to Rio Linda, California with her daughter Marion. In California she embraced her new family, American culture and a new language. In October 1965 Inge began employment with Cal Western Life Insurance Company in Sacramento. In 1987, with hard work, incredible organization, excellence, and integrity, Inge worked her way up to Assistant Vice President and Manager in their New Business Department.

After a career that spanned 33 years, Inge retired in 1998 to pursue favorite pastimes of gardening, boating, RVing, traveling, and reading. A lover of quiet evenings with her husband, she enjoyed pruning her beautiful roses, reading a good book, or working on a puzzle.   Inge always found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and by her sisters-in-law. Inge is survived by her children Marion Brown (Robert) and Michael Green; three grandchildren (Bobby, David, and Michael) and 2 great grandchildren (Dominic and Kamden); her brother-in-law Steve Green (Kay) and many loving extended family members and friends.

Inge will always be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to those she loved her family and friends.  She will be forever in our hearts.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date in California.
