William Roy Dievendorf, age 73, of Sprakers, NY passed away October 5, 2025.  He was born October 25, 1951 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY the son of the late Dewey and Elizabeth (Buhrmaster) Dievendorf. 

 

Bill lived in Glen, NY until he graduated from high school. He eventually moved to Sprakers into the home that was left to Bill once his father passed away. He lived there for almost 20 years. Bill was a self-employed electrician for many years. In his spare time, Bill and his wife Sandy loved to camp. They enjoyed many camping trips to Piseco Lake and Glimmerglass State Park on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, NY. Bill and Sandy also enjoyed many rescue animals over the years, many from the animal shelter that Sandy helped at.

 

Bill is survived by his sisters Cheryle Morgan and Catherine Macek, as well as a stepbrother Charles Siegle.

 

In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sandy. 

 

The family has chosen to remember Bill's life privately at this time.  Bill will be laid to rest in Fort Plain Cemetery at a later date. 

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger and Stewart Family Funeral Homes.
