Henry Michael Mellett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Bluffton, South Carolina, at the age of 86. He was born on March 31, 1939, in New York City, New York, and lived a life filled with generosity, humor, and kindness. Henry was a devoted family man, having shared 63 wonderful years with his wife, Vivian Mellett. Together, they created a loving home that was always welcoming to friends and family. He is survived by his cherished son, Michael Mellett; his beloved daughter, Michele Mellett; and his adored grandson, Morgan Mellett. Henry's legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Henry pursued academic excellence with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey, followed by a Master of Science in Management Science from Stevens Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey. His professional journey saw him dedicate 30 years to the Flavor and Fragrance industry, where he ultimately became the proud owner of MelChem Inc. Known for his infectious smile and warm personality, Henry was kind, generous, funny, honest, and loyal. He lived life with a zest that inspired those around him. His passions included traveling the world with Vivian, enjoying rounds of golf, playing bocce ball, and spending sunny days at the beach. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that those wishing to express their condolences consider a donation to a charity of their choice in honor of Henry’s generous spirit.
