Mildred (Millie) Lucille Flacksbarth (nee Washick) August 5, 1930 ~ September 28, 2025 Millie Flacksbarth, 95, of North St. Paul, MN, passed away suddenly at Lyngblomsten Care Center, St. Paul, MN on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
She was born August 5, 1930, in St. Paul, MN, to her father, Adolph Frank Washick, deceased, and mother, Josephine Ethel Washick (nee Jerabek), deceased; and baptized on August 17, 1930, at St. James Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. Millie was married to Theodore (Ted) Flacksbarth, Sr. on June 23, 1950, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ted Flacksbarth, Sr., sibling, Daniel Washick; and son Douglas Flacksbarth.
Those left to cherish her memory are: sons Ted (Lori Ann) Flacksbarth, Jr. of Oakdale, MN, Rick (Lori Jane) Flacksbarth of Fargo, ND, and daughter Barbara (Brian) Ruuska of Oakdale, MN; grandchildren: Eric (Kelly) Flacksbarth, and Angela (Dominic) O'Donnell; great-grandchildren: Evelyn O'Donnell, Isaiah O'Donnell, Elias O'Donnell, and Nora Flacksbarth. Besides being a loving, selfless, and dedicated mother and wife, Millie was active in her church teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. She worked a variety of careers including lunch lady and as a teacher's aide at Carver Elementary School. She worked for the Chamber of Commerce while living in Mt. Pleasant, IA. She worked at 3M in Food Services and retired in 1992 from 3M. She volunteered as an election judge for many years in Henry County, Iowa and in Washington County, Minnesota.
