Robert Earl Fairow, III passed away on September 28, 2025 in Portland, Oregon.
He was pre-deceased in life by his mother, Shandra Marie Fairow, (Plunkett). Robert is survived by his sisters:
Geraldine Kirkham (Gigi), Susan Raymond and Frances Aguerre. He is also survived by his father, Robert E. Fairow, Jr.
Robert had no children of his own, but he thought of his sister's children as his own, and is survived by 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 4 great nieces, 6 great nephews.
Robert was a Barber by trade. He was very creative and talented. He loved all things art, was a thespian in his youth and an avid painter in his later years. Some memories his friends and loved ones want to share:*********The one thing that stands out most when I think of Robert is the love he had for children and animals. He was drawn to their innocence and honesty — to the trust of a child and the loyalty of a pet. He loved them fiercely, just as he loved his family.I’ve known Robert for over 30 years, and though we weren’t together for many of those, we always stayed in touch. I cared deeply about his well-being and that of his family. I will miss our connection, but I will always reflect on the time we shared and smile.I can only hope that his spirit and energy lives on in those that he loved and loved him. Until the next chapter rest easy my friend, my love. ********Robert as my client/employer was a kind and insightful man. He was supportive of any efforts I undertook and did not fail to recognize any successes. Lord, but I will miss him********Bobby's love for his dog Duncan and his cat, Momma-kitty, ran deep. They weren't just pets they were his heart, constant companions in his every day life.He loved to hear about his nieces and nephews, interested in their happiness and well-being.He was always a kind hearted and caring big brother. He genuinely wanted the best for all of us.We will miss Bobby deeply, but we are at peace knowing he is no longer suffering.******Robert was my brother and best friend. He was a faithful confidant. A keeper of faith and always ready to lend an ear or hand. The world lost a beautiful soul the day he left to live with God.******Robert texted me good morning every day and would send a funny meme to start the day. We would sit on the porch with our iced water and talk and laugh about the news, more things happened but less mattered to us. Always willing to help me out with a ride to appointments or just to get out of the house. Our dogs would have play dates and we would walk with them around the neighborhood. We gardened together and he was so proud of his roses. He was always a spiritual person and believed in God and heaven. We were gym buddies. His heart was always in the right place.
