Jerry Garcia, 60, of Salinas, California, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. Born on February 26, 1965, Jerry was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Pop-Pop whose presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him.
A hardworking man through and through, Jerry dedicated his life to providing for his family. He took immense pride in caring for those he loved and lived with integrity, loyalty, and an unmatched sense of humor. His kindness and strength were the foundation of his family — values he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis, his daughters Veronica, Mariah, and Katrina, and brother Mark Garcia. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren who will forever cherish their Pop-Pop’s hugs, stories, and the love he poured into every moment shared.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Salinas, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and honoring a man who meant so much to so many.
Jerry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him — in the laughter of his grandchildren, the love of his family, and the countless lives he touched with his gentle spirit.
Your presence we miss, your memory we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.

We Entrusted Jerry Garcia's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
