John "Bob" Robert Lujan
January 23rd, 1945 - October 16th, 2025
John Robert Lujan, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his home in Peyton, Colorado, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 23, 1945, in Saguache, Colorado, to Pete and Lupe Lujan, Bob lived a life marked by devotion to his family, his faith, and the joys that brought him peace.
Bob was the proud owner and operator of P & L Scrap, Iron & Metals for more than fifty years. He built his business through hard work, honesty, and genuine kindness, greeting everyone as a friend and treating people with respect.
For over five decades, Bob faithfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a role that shaped his life with steadfast love, humility, and integrity. Those who knew him best admired his gentle patience and kindness.
Outside of work and worship, Bob found much joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the Colorado mountains. Whether sharing stories from a hunting trip or teaching his grandchildren how to catch crawdads, Bob’s love for nature reflected his appreciation for the beauty of God’s creation.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his sister Angela Archuleta, and his brother Richard Lujan.
He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly sixty years, Charlotte Ann Lujan (Martinez); his son John M. Lujan, wife Yolanda; his daughter Sheila Lujan-Barritt, husband Ryan; his cherished grandchildren Ashley Barritt, husband Jeff, Miranda Lujan-Valle; Johnny Lujan, wife Lauren, and his treasured great-grandchildren Colton and Bristyl Barritt. Each of them carries forward his generous spirit, warm laughter, and enduring love.
Though no formal service will be held at this time, Bob’s family takes comfort in knowing he is resting peacefully in God’s memory. His cremation was handled with dignity and care by The Springs Funeral Services.
Bob will be remembered for his quiet strength, his patience, his kindness, and the deep love he shared so freely. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved and in the still waters and open skies where he found peace
