James "Jimmy" Sutton Witt
September 17th, 1963 - October 23rd, 2025

James Sutton Witt, known affectionately to all as "Jimmy", passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on September 17, 1963, in Eddy County, New Mexico. Jimmy leaves behind a legacy defined by his deep love for his family, his cherished friends and partners, and a lifetime spent pursuing wild game and exploring whatever wilderness he could.
A quiet man at times, who liked to have a good laugh with his boys. He was a true outdoorsman. His passion for hunting, fishing, and trapping was immense. He spent countless hours in the woods and on the water, finding his greatest peace in the solitude of the wilderness.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James Sutton Witt III and Ina Laverne "Mickey" Witt. He is survived by his siblings Terri Evans and John Witt, his five children, Joshua, Jeremie, Justin and his wife Michelle, and Katie; his three cherished grandchildren, Eva, Milo, and Vincent.
The funeral date is Friday, the 21st of November and will be held at the Niche Wall at Yelm Cemetary at 1:00 PM.
