In Loving Memory
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eddie David Barragan, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, who left us peacefully on October 18, 2025 at the age of 47.
Born on September 27th 1978 in Watsonville, Ca and growing up in Salinas, Ca Eddie was known for his kindness, humor, hard work and his devotion to his family and friends.
He married Jennifer in 2008 and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories.
Eddie spent 18 years working as a bridge maintenance worker for Monterey County where he was respected for his dedication and integrity. Outside of work, he loved spending time with his family with BBQing, listening to music, watching music videos, watching his Pittsburgh Steelers football team, and making time for his close friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, his children Chris (Araceli), Lil Eddie (Anissa), Xavier (Isabel), Michael (Alma), grandsons Jack, Romeo, goddaughter Nevaeh, father Pancho (Petra), mother Felipa (Francis), brothers Frank ( Lorraine), Joel (Ashley), Joseph and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his
generosity, and his gentle spirit.
A viewing and service will be held on November 13th and 14th, 2025 at Healey Mortuary in Salinas, Ca. Viewing will be held from 1pm to 5pm Thursday November 13th, 2025 and service will be held at 11am on Friday November 14th, 2025. Burial to follow at Garden of Memories Salinas, Ca.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
