Eugenia (Gening) S. de Leon was born to Vicente de la Serna and Celestina Sarmiento de la Serna on November 15, 1934 in Tagbilaran, Bohol Philippines and passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025 in Seattle, WA. She was 90 years old. 

Gening was married to late Cesar Ortiz de Leon. She and Cesar immigrated from the Philippines in 1976 where she resided in Honolulu, HI before moving to Seattle, WA in 2022. While in Hawaii, she was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church community in Pauoa and the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Honolulu. She was an avid tennis player and loved to travel and visit family.

Gening is a Doctor of Dental Science and practiced dentistry in the United States and the Philippines. She is survived by her two sons CJ and Cesar (Gus), her daughter-in-law Grace and her two grandchildren Kara and Kayla.
